After adding to Elisa-spot plate, Streptavidin-AP binds to biotin attached to detection antibody providing a source of alkaline phosphatase (AP) that will convert colorless BCIP+NBT chromogen into dark-blue precipitating spots. Our Streptavidin-AP conjugate is composed of a high grade streptavidin and of an alkaline phosphatase with strong enzymatic activity allowing low protein detection.
